Currently students were asked to create a city using 2 point perspective.
Now they will be working on preliminary detail, windows doors and sidewalks. The windows will be done using a "SHARED" line. as will the sidewalks from building to building.
So far we have talked about Line quality and Economy of line, students usually have a fair amount of erasing to do unless the follow the economy of line direction. using the line that lines up with the appropriate vanishing point, then being able to draw a line to the length needed.
I will try to keep up you up to date with curriculum by showing pictures of work and examples through the use of this blog

I use this paragraph to get students to write down what they did with the last project. It reinforces what elements of art and design they used and get then to write it down.

Latest Worksheet for Mandala project.
I like when students do their own research rather than having me regugitate from text or the internet. So I have them do their own research, it help reduce the amount of questions and help refine projects.

Latest Value project
#1- I asked students to print out the lyrics of a song that has meaning to them. I would like there to be some type of emotion behid there choice.
#2- Students are then asked to find a picture on line of some one that correlates to the lyrics they chose. could be the artist that wrote or sung the song or the person the song is about or someone they think of when they hear that song.
the Picture should be of the shoulders up, more of a portrait than anything else
here is an example
Thanks MO

We segway into Value after we are done with line.
I ask everyone to complete this worksheet with a blue or black ink for many reasons but mostly because there is an ease to writing with pen.
